Frequently asked questions

What is Entigo Platform?

Entigo Platform is a self-service developer platform for running containerised applications on Kubernetes in your own cloud. It handles the plumbing around your applications: provisioning, GitOps delivery, environment isolation, observability, cost visibility and compliance. Your engineers can then spend their time on the product. It doesn’t touch your architecture, data model or domain logic.

Who is Entigo Platform for?

It is built for security-conscious and regulated organisations that run containerised workloads in the public cloud. It suits teams that need production-grade infrastructure but don’t want to build and maintain all the tooling in-house, from scale-ups to public sector bodies.

Where does the platform run, and who controls our data?

Your applications and data live in workspaces, which are dedicated AWS accounts, Azure subscriptions or Google Cloud projects in your own cloud. You stay in control of your infrastructure and your data. A central control plane adds shared services such as observability, cost management and governance across workspaces.

Which cloud providers are supported?

AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud. You bring your own cloud account, and Entigo provisions production-ready Kubernetes clusters in it. Entigo is an AWS Partner and a Google Cloud Partner.

Do our developers need to know Kubernetes?

No. Developers can deploy applications and provision databases, caches and storage from a simple interface, and they only see their own team’s resources. Everything created in the UI is a standard Kubernetes resource definition, so engineers who prefer to can use kubectl, GitOps or the API directly.

Will it work with our existing tools and CI/CD pipelines?

Yes. Entigo Platform extends the Kubernetes API, so it works with the Kubernetes tooling your team already uses. You can push container images from any CI system. ArgoCD is built in for GitOps delivery, Crossplane powers infrastructure self-service, and OpenTelemetry is supported for custom application metrics.

What happens to our applications if the Entigo control plane is unavailable?

They keep running. Entigo separates the control plane from the data plane. Your workloads run in your own workspaces and have no runtime dependency on the control plane. If it is temporarily unavailable, only central management functions are affected, not your end users.

Are we locked in to Entigo?

No. Workspaces run on your cloud accounts using standard open-source components, mostly from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. They are managed by Infralib, which is open source. If you stop using Entigo Platform, your workspaces keep running and you can continue managing them with Infralib. You would lose access to the control plane features, such as central observability, FinOps and governance dashboards, and to Entigo’s support.

How does Entigo help with NIS2, GDPR and ISO 27001?

The platform has built-in compliance support for all three and follows the Estonian IT Security Standard (E-ITS) for very high data protection requirements. Policies such as encryption at rest, data residency and secrets rotation are checked automatically. Every deployment, configuration change and access event is recorded in an immutable audit trail. Reporting templates are aligned with NIS2’s 24-hour notification and GDPR breach disclosure deadlines.

How does cost visibility work?

Cloud spend is broken down by team and environment, and you can allocate it to internal cost centres. You can set monthly budgets per workspace or zone and get alerts when thresholds are reached. The platform also flags idle resources, oversized instances and commitment opportunities so you can reduce spend.

Can we self-host the platform, or does Entigo run it for us?

Both options include the full platform. With the managed option, Entigo operates the platform for you. With the self-hosted option, you run it yourself, including in air-gapped or strictly network-isolated environments if needed. After go-live, you can also add a dedicated Entigo SRE team for your environment.

How is Entigo Platform priced?

Pricing is based mainly on the number of environments and your infrastructure footprint, not on the number of users or seats. Other factors include the support tier, observability data retention and any custom integrations. See the pricing page for details, or talk to sales for a quote.

Can you help us migrate existing workloads?

Yes. Most enterprise and government deployments include a project-based engagement alongside platform onboarding. That can cover cloud migration, Kubernetes implementation, and integration with your existing infrastructure and security requirements.

How do we get started?

Book a demo to see the platform applied to your own use cases and to put your technical questions to our team. If you’d like to look deeper first, the Entigo documentation covers the architecture, API reference and step-by-step deployment guides.
